Interior Design For The Modern Empty Nester...

I wanted to share a clients refresh of their family/dining room space. What an amazing interior design transformation after purchasing some new furniture and soft furnishings. Here is the mood board below.

If your furniture is looking a bit tired it can often make you start feeling a bit glum. You start losing interest in your home and even don't feel inspired to keep it neat and tidy. After waiting many years, this Empty Nester was excited to upgrade some key furniture pieces.

Here is the after shot on the day of installation. What a difference! Doesn't the space look so much lighter and it actually felt like a different room.

I invited my client to visit the Globe West Showroom for inspiration. The Melbourne showroom is in Springvale and is for trade accounts only. My client fell in love with the Jagger Luxe Entertainment Unit in natural teak and white marble as shown above. This small detail tied in beautifully with the client's marble kitchen.

My client instantly fell in love with these beautiful toffee coloured swivel chairs.

Often it's important to see and feel first hand the beautiful colours, textures and fabrics available. In the show room the colours and texture of the rug, cushions and chair fabric came together.

The new round dining table and chairs are used much more often than the old dining setting.
